UMS SKELDAR V-200

The UMS SKELDAR V-200 is a rotary-wing VTOL unmanned aircraft developed by UMS SKELDAR, a joint venture between Sweden-based Saab and Swiss company UMS Aero Group. Its runway-independent design allows it to operate from restricted land areas and ship decks.

The platform is designed for maritime surveillance, reconnaissance, target acquisition, border security and signals intelligence missions. It can be configured with payloads such as EO/IR cameras, maritime surveillance radar, AIS and laser systems. Fully autonomous take-off and landing provide additional flexibility, particularly during shipborne operations.

According to the Plarok database, the V-200 has a maximum speed of 75 knots, a cruise speed of 55 knots, a range of 200 kilometres and an endurance of approximately six hours. Its 40-kilogram payload capacity allows multiple sensors or mission systems to be carried at the same time. An open mission system and encrypted data link also support integration with different command-and-control architectures.
