Elbit Hermes 900

The Elbit Hermes 900 is a multi-role MALE unmanned aerial vehicle developed by Elbit Systems. Designed for persistent intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance missions, the platform can operate over land, coastal areas and maritime environments for extended periods.\n\n Hermes 900 uses a modular architecture that allows different mission payloads to be integrated on the same aircraft. Electro-optical and infrared systems provide visual reconnaissance, while SAR, GMTI and MPR radars support wide-area surveillance, moving- target tracking and maritime surface monitoring.\n\n The platform can communicate with its ground control station through SATCOM and line-of-sight data links. Elbit’s available payload options include laser designators, signals intelligence, communications intelligence, communications jamming and wide-area persistent surveillance systems.\n\n Hermes 900 can support coastal protection, critical infrastructure security, border surveillance, maritime patrol and long-endurance ISTAR missions. According to the Plarok database, it has a maximum speed of 120 knots, an endurance of 36 hours, a service ceiling of 30,000 feet and a payload capacity of 350 kilograms.
